Below you will find some advice to help minimise stress and unnecessary worrying during your buying process:

  • Buyers often get shown numerous properties that are too expensive, are not what they were after, or are missing key components that they crave. Be as detailed and specific as you possibly can with your agent when it comes to your criteria so that you have the highest possible chance of viewing the properties that are relevant to you. This will save you endless amounts of time.
  • Make sure your finances are in ship shape and arrange meetings with lenders to educate yourself on what you can realistically afford. Get an "in principle" agreement with your lender so that your agent knows exactly how much you have to spend so they can match ideal properties to your budget and criteria.
  • Only make an offer on a home if you genuinely think you could see yourself living there. A last-minute change of mind could destroy the seller's chances of moving into their new home, damage your buyer reputation and waste a lot of time and money in the process.
  • Give detailed and specific feedback to your agent after a house/flat viewing. This will give them a greater understanding of what you are looking for and help find more suitable properties for you to view in the future. It will also save you and your agent valuable time and help you to find your perfect home quicker.
